The Oderberg Inland Waterways Museum is located in the triangle formed by the towns of Bad Freienwalde, Eberswalde and Angermünde, not far from the River Oder.
Oderberg is about an hour's drive from Berlin. You can reach our museum via the B158 from Bad Freienwalde in the south or Angermünde in the north. You can reach us from the west via the L29 from Eberswalde.
Full road closure in Oderberg from 26 to 30 September 2026
Due to the installation of the new bridge, the temporary bridge on the B158 in Oderberg will be completely closed.
For motor vehicles:
26 September, 6:00 a.m. to 30 September 2026, 6:00 a.m.
For pedestrians and cyclists:
28 September, 6:00 a.m. to 30 September 2026, 6:00 a.m.
Motor traffic will be diverted via a large-scale detour. BBG bus routes will also be adjusted.
Please take the closure into account when planning your journey to the Binnenschifffahrts-Museum Oderberg.

Travel and traffic restrictions
Due to bridge construction work, there are currently traffic restrictions on the B158 in Bad Freienwalde and Oderberg.
Bad Freienwalde:
The B158 is closed between Alt Tornow and Am Polderdamm. A diversion is signposted.
Oderberg:
The bridge over the Havel-Oder Waterway is being replaced. The temporary bridge is currently open to traffic in one direction at a time, controlled by traffic lights.
Travelling by public transport
By train:
RE3 or RE66 to Eberswalde or Angermünde
RB60 to Bad Freienwalde
Continue by bus:
916 from Eberswalde to Oderberg, Stadtmitte
463 from Angermünde to Oderberg, Museum
874 from Bad Freienwalde to Oderberg, Stadtmitte
